  • What is a Pacemaker

A pacemaker is a cardiac medical device that uses 1 or 2 leads to:
    1. Treat Bradycardia, a slow heat rate, when symptomatic
    2. Sends painless electrical impulses to the heart to restore a normal heart rate
    3. Uses sensors to detect daily activity that could benefit from a faster heart rate.
Note:  There is also a leadless single chamber pacemaker but it is not for people experiencing symptomatic bradycardia.
